Position: Mechanical / Industrial Engineering Expert Type: Contract Compensation: $75–$100/hour Location: Remote Role Responsibilities Develop long-horizon engineering tasks that mirror real-world mechanical engineering work. Build deterministic rubrics to grade agent performance against verifiable ground truth. Create scenarios in Design review, Analysis, and Change management with checkable answers. Evaluate CAD models and GD&T against defect lists and specified dimensions. Conduct tolerance stack-ups and DFM/DFA reviews using defined checklists. Work independently and asynchronously to produce high-quality, focused engineering tasks. Qualifications Must-Have BS or MS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. 3+ years in design, manufacturing engineering, or product development. Expertise in a CAD system (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, Fusion 360). Proficiency with GD&T and a PLM system (e.g., Arena, Teamcenter, Windchill). Experience with a specific manufacturing process (e.g., machining, injection, sheet metal, additive). Strong written communication skills with the ability to articulate reasoning and encode it into deterministic rubrics. Compensation & Legal Hourly contractor, Paid weekly via Stripe Connect.
