Job Summary: Reporting to the Controller, the Revenue Specialist is responsible for accurately recording, reconciling, and supporting revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 within a manufacturing and distribution environment. This role partners closely with cost accounting, operations, and systems teams to ensure revenue, costs, and margins are recorded accurately and in the proper period. The ideal candidate brings strong transactional accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate ERP and third-party systems in a fast-paced, close-driven, private equity–backed organization This is a salaried, exempt role paid at the annual rate of between $65,000 and $85,000 depending on experience. Responsibilities: - Record and reconcile revenue transactions in compliance with ASC 606 and established accounting policies. - - Apply approved revenue recognition treatment to standard sales, customer deposits, drop-ship transactions, returns, refunds, and credits; escalate non-standard transactions as appropriate. - - Ensure revenue is recognized in the correct period and aligned with shipment, delivery, and production milestones. - - Coordinate with cost accounting to ensure proper inventory relief, COGS recognition, and accurate gross margin reporting. - - Reconcile revenue and billing data between third-party order systems and Infor SyteLine ERP; investigate and resolve discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, shipment status, cost flow, and timing. - - Prepare revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and support schedules for month-end and quarter-end close. - - Support cut-off testing, variance analysis, audits, lender reporting, and internal control documentation. - - Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, IT, sales, and accounting to resolve system or process issues impacting revenue and margin accuracy. - - Contribute to continuous improvement of revenue, cost, and control processes in a close-driven environment. - - Other duties as assigned by your supervisor. - Requirements: - Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience). - - 2–5 years of experience in revenue accounting, cost accounting, or a related role. - - Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition concepts with the ability to apply existing policy. - - Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or cost accounting environment. - - Understanding of order-to-cash processes and inventory-based revenue flows. - - Proven experience reconciling data across ERP systems and third-party platforms. Infor SyteLine strongly preferred. - - Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data validation. - - Prior audit experience or audit support exposure is a plus. - - Must be legally authorized to work in USA. - Employee Benefits: At Monster Transmission, we take immense pride in our employees and recognize the value that you bring to the company.
