Job Description
WePlanet is entering a phase of organisational growth that requires stronger financial modelling, forecasting, and financial planning systems to support responsible expansion and strategic decision-making.
We are seeking a Senior Finance Officer (part-time) to help strengthen our financial planning and analysis capabilities. This role focuses on forward-looking financial modelling, cashflow forecasting, grant financial planning, and financial risk monitoring.
The role sits within a small central finance function, working closely with leadership, grants, and our external accounting providers. It is an individual contributor position reporting to the Secretary General, with no direct reports.
Working closely with the Secretary General, the Senior Finance Officer will help ensure leadership has the financial insight needed to plan hiring, manage grant funding, and support the organisation’s long-term sustainability.
This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys building financial models, translating financial data into strategic insight, and working in a small, distributed organisation where financial planning plays a critical role in decision-making.
The role is remote and part-time on a 12-month fixed-term employment contract, at approximately 0.4 FTE (around 15 hours per week on average). Hours may run heavier during the initial set-up phase and lighter once systems and processes are embedded.
Applications will close on 24 May 2026. We may close this vacancy early if we receive a sufficient number of suitable applications, so we encourage interested candidates to apply as soon as possible.
