Job Description
Our Distribution group is currently looking to add a Hydrovac Dispatcher to our team, based in Sherwood Park, AB.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, we are seeking an organized and detail-oriented dispatch professional with experience coordinating field operations, assigning crews, and ensuring efficient scheduling and communication between field staff and clients to support our Hydrovac operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities while ensuring crews are deployed safely and efficiently.
Please Note: This position may require occasional on-call or after-hours support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch hydrovac units and operators to job sites

- Coordinate with clients, project managers, and field crews

- Monitor job progress and adjust schedules as needed

- Maintain accurate records of jobs, hours, and equipment usage

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

- Handle incoming calls, job requests, and emergency dispatches

- Ensure accurate entry and review of job tickets and work orders

- Liaise with supervisors, mechanics, and operations staff regarding equipment status

- Optimize routing and crew utilization to maximize efficiency

- Direct experience with hydrovac operations

- Experience in operations, field coordination, or previous dispatch experience

- Strong understanding of Edmonton and surrounding areas geography/routes

- Experience with dispatch systems (e.g., Nylus)

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including building and maintaining spreadsheets

- Strong overall computer skills and adaptability to new systems
