US Federal Solutions, a leading management consulting firm, is seeking a Congressional Support and Strategic Communications Advisor. Location: Pentagon Clearance: Active Secret REQUIRED Company: US Federal Solutions Overview US Federal Solutions is seeking a highly strategic and polished Congressional Support & Strategic Communications Advisor to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (SAF/MR). This role sits at the intersection of legislative affairs, executive communications, and strategic outreach, directly enabling senior Air Force leadership to shape policy, influence stakeholders, and execute high-impact congressional engagements. This is not a traditional administrative or communications role. It is a mission-critical position focused on strategy, influence, and execution at the highest levels of government, supporting senior leaders in advancing legislative priorities and organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities Legislative Strategy & Congressional Engagement - Support the development and execution of a comprehensive Legislative Engagement Strategy aligned to SAF/MR priorities, integrating stakeholder mapping, engagement planning, and synchronized congressional interactions - - Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on legislative developments, risks, and opportunities impacting manpower and reserve affairs programs - - Coordinate and prepare leadership for congressional engagements, including hearings, briefings, and office calls, ensuring message alignment and strategic positioning - Executive Communications & Strategic Narrative - Serve as the lead for executive-level communications, drafting speeches, testimony, talking points, articles, and digital communications - - Ensure all communications meet rigorous quality standards for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with leadership priorities - - Shape and advance the SAF/MR strategic narrative through targeted messaging and stakeholder engagement - Strategic Outreach & Communications Integration - Design and execute a proactive communications and outreach program that builds advocacy and influences key stakeholders across DoD, Joint, and public channels - - Integrate SAF/MR outreach efforts with broader Department of the Air Force communications strategies to ensure alignment and maximum impact - - Manage the full content lifecycle from concept development to dissemination and performance optimization - Executive Engagement & Strategic Facilitation - Plan and facilitate executive-level engagements, including off-sites, strategic planning sessions, and decision forums - - Develop agendas, conduct pre-decisional analysis, and document outcomes, including policy decisions and taskings - Portfolio & Engagement Management - Provide strategic oversight of leadership travel and engagement portfolios, ensuring alignment with mission priorities and measurable return on investment - - Advise leadership on prioritization of engagements to maximize policy and programmatic impact - Task & Workflow Management - Manage and monitor the Task Management Tool (TMT), ensuring timely routing, tracking, and reporting of taskings - - Deliver weekly task summaries and executive-level status reporting to support leadership decision-making - - Ensure all taskings are assigned within required timelines and tracked through completion - Digital Content & Knowledge Management - Oversee content management of SharePoint and Air Force Portal sites, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of published materials - Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Communications, or related field - - Active Secret Clearance - - 6+ years of experience in congressional affairs, strategic communications, or federal policy support - - Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives or flag-level leadership - - Strong understanding of DoD or federal legislative processes and stakeholder engagement - - Exceptional writing and editing skills, with experience producing executive-level communications - - Experience managing high-visibility deliverables under tight timelines - - Experience with Task Management Tool (TMT) or similar tasking systems - - Experience supporting Air Force or DoD headquarters-level organizations - - Experience integrating communications strategies across large, complex organizations - - Background in strategic planning, outreach campaigns, or legislative affairs execution - - Employer-provided paid Medical / Dental / Vision insurance. - - Employer matching 401K plan. - - PTO - - 11 Federal Holidays - - Additionally voluntary benefits to include Short / Long Term Disability, Term Life, and AD&D Insurance. -
